Our latest feature highlights Applications Specialist Georgia Lugg.
How long have you worked at HNC?
For nearly four years.
What is your job title?
I am an Applications Specialist.
What are your main responsibilities and duties at HNC?
In my role, I have a lot of different roles and responsibilities. This includes end-to-end management of the software implementation. I am also involved in customising the application to meet the clients’ specifications.
Other roles of mine include delivering system training to new customers and advanced training to existing customers to ensure all users can appreciate the value of and benefit fully from the use of the application.
As well as this, I also liaise with customers to ensure requests and requirements are fed back to our development team and that users are made aware of new and enhanced features and modules. I also provide second-line application support to users and software testing for implementation and new system enhancements.
What does an average week look like for you?
At HNC, no two days are the same. One day I could be configuring the application to meet the needs of a customer, the next day I could be on a client’s site providing support for the implementation of the product. Activities are demand-driven; sometimes I will be supporting existing customers and at other times I could be involved in new implementation as well as liaising with developers.
What do you enjoy most about working at HNC?
Working at HNC allows me to be myself and fit into the wider team; as a whole, I feel part of a close-knit family.
The company’s values align with my own, having a great work ethic and a collaborative spirit among different teams. I love that everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission; we create a big impact on our clients.
Work-life balance is a high point. I love that I have a great degree of control and freedom within my job. Lastly, I am proud to be a part of the team that delivers the product that helps clinicians to provide quality healthcare.
How has the business developed since you started?
During my time with HNC, there have been noticeable changes that have seen an increase in the number of modules and product offerings to a greater number of customers. This has attributed to significant growth in the workforce. Additionally, having a team from diverse professional backgrounds and one that has embraced inclusivity are factors that have contributed to enhancing the services we provide to our clients.
What is the most exciting thing about working at HNC?
I am excited about representing a company with a good reputation and a track record of supplying a product that makes a difference in peoples’ lives.
Where do you think HNC will be in five years’ time?
In 5 years, I can see HNC expanding exponentially and providing more systems to the healthcare sector. I also see HNC expanding into a new geographic market and exploring new technologies.
