In the latest in our series a Week in the Life, we catch up with Josh Catmull.
Having joined us in June 2023, Josh tells us about his experiences so far at HNC.
How long have you worked at HNC?
I started working at HNC in June 2023.
What is your job title?
My job title is Service Desk Analyst.
What are your main responsibilities and duties at HNC?
My primary responsibilities involve providing the best customer support and optimising our
solutions to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.
Additionally, I collaborate closely with my team to address any issues or changes that arise for
users of the applications we support. This includes tasks like onboarding new users and
resolving network and interface issues.
What does an average week look like?
On a daily basis, my role entails swiftly diagnosing and resolving any reported issues while also
promptly addressing change requests raised by our customers. This ensures smooth operations
and satisfaction with our services.
What do you enjoy most about working at HNC?
My role offers a lot of variety, with each day bringing new challenges that keep things interesting.
I appreciate the opportunity to work with a fantastic team, finding it both enjoyable and
rewarding.
How has the business developed since you started?
Despite my relatively short time here, it’s evident that our business is experiencing positive
growth. We see a consistent flow of existing customers upgrading their software and an
increasing number of new customers choosing to purchase our solutions. It’s an exciting time to
be part of the team as we continue to expand and thrive.
What excites you the most about working at HNC?
Coming from a customer service background in technology repair, I’ve gained a keen interest in
delving into the realm of IT. Colleagues have provided me with opportunities and insights,
allowing me to learn the technical aspects of the job and deepen my understanding of various
applications and processes.
Where do you think HNC will be in five years’ time?
In five years’ time, I anticipate a continuation of the current trend. With the growth we’ve
experienced recently, I foresee myself supporting an even larger customer base and contributing to an expanding team. Based on the promising trajectory I’ve witnessed over in the past year,
I believe HNC will remain robust and thriving five years from now.
